Lou Brock steals his 104th and 105th bases of the season in an 8-2 loss to the Phillies, tying and breaking the previous MLB single-season steal record set by Maury Willis in 1962. Brock finished the year with 118 swipes which would stand as the record until 1982 when Rickey Henderson put up 130.
