    2011 Ryan Madson & Antonio Bastardo             23

- Last night Cristopher Sanchez ended a streak of 32 straight starts without allowing multiple home runs, the longest by a Phillies pitcher since Tommy Greene's 43 straight from October 1991 through September 1993.

Tonight's Game -  Braves 6:40 Suarez vs. Lopez

- Including playoffs Ranger Suarez has a 2.45 ERA and 0.98 WHIP at home against Atlanta and the Phillies have a 5-2 record in his seven starts.

- Since being traded from the Angels to Guardians on August 31, 2023, Reynaldo Lopez is the only pitcher in baseball with 75+ innings pitched and a sub-2.00 ERA (1.85). His last outing as an Angel came at Citizens Bank Park one year ago today when Trea Turner hit a 3-run homer off him in the bottom of the 6th.

Phillies Phacks n Stats

- The Phillies have won 80 games before September 1st four times in franchise history (2011, 1993, 1977, 1976). They've ended three of those season with 100+ wins ('11 - 102, '77 - 101, '76 - 101) but won the pennant in the lone season they fell short of 100 regular season wins (1993 - 97).

- If Brandon Marsh can produce 1 home run and 2 doubles in the next two games, he'll be the first Phillies outfielder since Shane Victorino in 2011 to tally 15+ homers, 15+ doubles, and 15+ steals before September 1st. Victorino, Bobby Abreu, and Lenny Dykstra are the only three Phillies OF's to do so since 1990.

- With his 10th save of the season on Wednesday, Jeff Hoffman is the third Phillies pitcher ever to record 10+ holds and 10+ saves in a season with a sub-2.00 ERA (Jose Alvarado 2023, Ken Giles 2015)

Braves Bits

- With a double and walk last night, Orlando Arcia raised his OPS from .631 to .634 on the season (league average .714), which is fourth-lowest for a Braves hitter since 2000 (min. 400 at bats). Though the .634 OPS wouldn't be anywhere near Bryce Harper's career low (.768 in 2014), it's not even Arcia's career low which was .567 in 2021 (league average .728)

Lowest Braves OPS Since 2000
    1. Vinny Castilla, 2002 - .616
    2. Andrelton Simmons, 2014 - .617
    3. B.J. Upton, 2014 - .620
    4. Orlando Arcia, 2024 - .634
